From time to time a medical student may accompany one of the doctors. Your help in allowing them to listen and learn would be much appreciated, but you will always be asked if this is acceptable to you.
Students are sometimes asked to interview patients themselves. Again your help with this would be greatly appreciated, but if you would prefer not to be involved please tell your GP.
We are very grateful to those patients who have already kindly volunteered to help train our GPs of the future.
In association with the Cambridge Graduate Scheme, Dr Gordon Irvine is currently training medical students here at the surgery and Dr Sam Bampoh is working with registrars who are training here under the West Suffolk Scheme.
For more information about medical students, please read our medical student leaflet.
